Mary's 8th birthday!

Mary's 8th birthday was super special because it's the day she was baptized and confirmed!

As luck would have it, she was baptized and confirmed on her 8th birthday, just like her dad and brother. It was a very special day. Mary was so excited! Her positive energy brought so much joy to the event!

Family traveled from afar to be with Mary on this occasion. Aunt Janell, Grammy and Grandpa, Grandma Evie and Grandpa Mike, Uncle Daniel and Aunt Brittany and Cousin Nathan were all there. We're also grateful to our local friends who came and helped and supported Mary on this day.

Mary is a talented, caring, thoughtful, energetic, beautiful, fun, hard working, smart young lady. It is very humbling to be her mother. And an honor. We are all so grateful for Mary and proud of her.

Here are a million pictures . . .

A rare family picture!

It wasn't all serious poses. There was some silliness too!

Kinsey and Mary convinced their moms (me and neighbor and super friend Megan) to pose with them!
The baptism and confirmation was in the morning. Then it was back to our house for some celebrating!

We celebrated with pumpkin pie (a favorite!), but Mary also wanted her own personal cake. She got the traditional and kind of silly Golden Plates cake (just like her dad and brother on their 8th birthdays). It was a happy day!

We love you, Mary!

P.S. This was really posted on Jan. 1, 2016. But it is archived in October....when I should have posted it.
